The most abundant ECS receptor is the CB1, found primarily in the brain and central nervous system. The other receptors, CB2s, also exist in the brain but are mainly located in the peripheral nervous system and on immune cells.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"h-endocannabinoids\">Endocannabinoids<\/h4>\n<p>These cannabinoids (chemical compounds) are made within the body as they are needed. The two most common are 2-AG and anandamide, but as research continues, more may be discovered.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"h-metabolic-enzymes\">Metabolic Enzymes<\/h4>\n<p>These proteins break down endocannabinoids once the body is done using them. Fatty Acid Amide Hydrolase (FAAH) breaks down anandamide while MGL breaks down 2-AG.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c2c763b e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"c2c763b\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7a1b131 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7a1b131\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 id=\"h-do-you-need-the-ecs\">Do You Need The ECS?<\/h2>\n<p>Just because we\u2019ve only recently uncovered the role of the Endocannabinoid System in the body doesn\u2019t make it less valuable. In short, yes, you need your endocannabinoid system to live a comfortable life. If your Endocannabinoid System is not working correctly, you may experience discomfort or illness primarily related to your immune system or inflammation.
